Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

I found the finish of these trainers to be of very poor quality. The leather tongue across the top crumpled up and was too short in width when the trainers were worn, exposing the raw edges of the leather. As a long-standing customer I was very disappointed. Returned to shop.

Lovely to look at but absolutely awful on. The tongue of the shoe is not wide enough to cover the elastic so when I put it on, it all bunched up and apart from looking hideous, it was extremely uncomfortable. Sent back and waiting for a refund.

I purchased these online as they were exactly what I was looking for. They arrived quickly and when I tried them on they felt very comfortable and looked great. However as soon as I walked in them the tongue part wrinkled up and wouldn鈥檛 lay flat again. They suddenly didn鈥檛 look right and however much I pushed it back in position it wouldn鈥檛 lay flat and looked odd, so I鈥檝e returned them to my local store and await a refund.

They look great, but I struggled to get my foot in because they are quite stiff. When I eventually did get my foot in, the tongue on the top of the shoe didn鈥檛 lie flat. Very disappointing , especially for price. I have returned and awaiting a refund.
